The NET Bible
The NET Bible is a brand new translation, featuring 57,875 translators' notes! It is free to download from this website, but you can also buy a copy to carry around.
The translators' notes tell you why they translated as they did, and tell you which manuscripts a given rendering is based on. They often show you other ways the verse could have been translated. Definitely the most interesting and helpful translation for years.
